Nights in Rodanthe

Okay, let me just apologize up front to all the Nicholas Sparks fan out there! I'm not a huge Nicholas Sparks fan. I find that most of his stories are alright, but they are way too sappy for my taste. Nights in Rodanthe was no exception.

The movie is about Adrienne Willis (Diane Lane - whom I adore and who was the best part of the movie for me!), a woman who is recently separated from her cheating husband. She agrees to watch over her friend's inn in Rodanthe for a few days. Richard Gere plays Dr. Paul Flanner, the only guest at the inn. He is in Rodanthe at the request of a widower, whose wife died on Dr. Flanner's operating table.

Good story line, but lots of corny dialogue. However, if you enjoy Nicholas Sparks, you will probably love this movie. I know I am most likely in the minority (especially with the girls) in not liking sappy books and movies. And even I thought the movie was definitely worth seeing, I just would have liked it better if Sparks would tone down the cheese!
